Disrupting The Crypto Market: Launching Trading Platform bitoftrade

To help bitoftrade break into the digital asset industry, Linguakey developed and delivered a content marketing strategy targeting specific consumer demographics.


Despite a fluctuating market, cryptocurrency remains a popular asset. As of 2022, there are over 84 million crypto wallets worldwide and more digital asset owners than ever before. Trading platforms allow users to buy, trade, and sell cryptocurrencies online—and, currently, there are over 1100 platforms where they can do so.


Bitoftrade are a crypto exchange platform based in Israel. Unlike other exchanges on the market, bitoftrade offer a decentralised exchange (DEX) with specialised features, such as leverage, swap, and limit trading. Users also have access to over 900 tokens, so there’s less need for users to switch between platforms while enhancing the user experience.


Linguakey partnered with bitoftrade to aid their pre-launch campaign by developing website content and producing monthly feature pieces. As our partnership developed, we also delivered regular thought leadership posts, video scripts, FAQs, a user-focused help centre, press releases, and social media content to develop the overall brand identity and engage users.


The Challenge 

When bitoftrade initially approached Linguakey, they were preparing to launch their exchange platform and seeking guidance from marketing experts who understood the cryptocurrency landscape. Looking to break into English-speaking markets, bitoftrade needed support from a quality-driven and trusted content marketing agency to deliver results for both the long and short term.


Our primary focus was to establish bitoftrade as a legitimate option for both current traders and non-digital asset owners looking to invest in cryptocurrency. To do so, and disrupt an already dense market, bitoftrade needed an engaging web presence with regular content to build awareness, gain trust, and ultimately, drive sales.


The cryptocurrency market is heavily saturated, with many centralised and decentralised exchanges for users to choose from. For example, bitoftrade are competing against popular platforms such as Binance, Deepcoin, and Hotcoin Global—with Binance accumulating over 28 million users in 2021; a clear indication of the huge market potential within the digital asset sphere.


As a new exchange and to challenge already well-established industry players, it was vital to market bitoftrade to the right audience and build brand awareness on popular crypto PR websites. To achieve this, Linguakey set out to write effective and engaging content aligned to bitoftrade’s target consumer demographic.


Our Solution 

Before establishing a content marketing strategy, we worked closely with bitoftrade’s Project Management Officer, Orianne Blum, to understand the innovative services on offer and how they appeal to a variety of crypto traders. During these content workshops, we explored the swap, limit, trade, and decentralised features from a user perspectiveand as a result, we collaborated to develop a strategy that aligned with bitoftrade’s ambitious goals.


To break market barriers and establish bitoftrade as an industry leader, we developed three internal aims: to attract website traffic, to educate users on the unique features of the platform, and to generate conversions. To achieve this, our strategy would focus on two core audience groups—established cryptocurrency traders and newcomers to the industry.


Utilising our content workshop learnings, we developed brand-aligned and SEO-focused copy for bitoftrade’s soon-to-be-live website, including content for the home page, about page, and details on features, fees, and tokens offered. Following a successful launch we then moved to produce regular bi-weekly SEO blog posts designed to attract traffic, and confirm bitoftrade’s position as a knowledgeable and trustworthy platform for buying, selling, and investing tokens.


We also helped to promote bitoftrade on popular PR websites, particularly on Yahoo Finance and U.Today, to increase brand visibility. In addition to these publications, we wrote monthly guides on how to use the bitoftrade platform, while promoting bitoftrade’s unique features. 


Other educational materials included how-to videos and FAQs. These FAQs provided an effective SEO boost and gave users a quick answerpoint for their potential questions. 


To conclude the campaign, we produced a comprehensive digital help centre with detailed instructions on how to use key platform features. Not only did this provide immediate and accessible customer support, but the solution significantly reduced customer service requests as well thanks to the self-help style format.


The Result 

After creating a detailed content marketing strategy, and, following the successful launch of their exchange platform, bitoftrade were firmly established in the competitive trading market with a strong follower base that aligned with their two target audiences. During the first six months of bitoftrade’s partnership with Linguakey, organic traffic, achieved through targeted content, accounted for 20 percent of all visitors to the now-live website—and this was supported by over 890 keywords and a domain authority score of 33.
